 STUDENT SERVICES Counseling
Our goal is to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where students can explore challenges, build coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

  • ㆍ Individual Counseling
  •   Just as you might visit a doctor when you are not feeling well, it can often be more effective to talk with a professional rather than struggle alone. With professional support, concerns can often be resolved more effectively and in a shorter time.
  •
  • ㆍ What topics can I discuss in counseling?
  •   Counseling provides a safe and supportive space to talk about a wide range of concerns, including everyday stress, interpersonal relationships, academic or career questions, and personal or emotional challenges. It is also an opportunity for self-understanding and personal growth.
  • ㆍ How does counseling work?
  •   Individual counseling is typically scheduled once a week for 45–50 minutes and may continue for a set number of sessions, depending on your needs. Sessions are conducted by trained professionals, and all counseling conversations are kept strictly confidential in accordance with applicable laws and ethical guidelines.
  •
  • ㆍ Additional Support
  •   Students who may face barriers to accessing mental health treatment outside the university are encouraged to discuss available resources with their counselor. The Counseling Center can help connect students with appropriate support services.
